A St. Louis County-based title company is looking for an Escrow Closer to assist with title closings.
Required Education Experience
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferable.
- Must have at least 2 years experience as a closer in a title/escrow company.
- Applicants with a portable book of business will be given preference for position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review title commitments fir title issues.
- Ensure all title defects have been addressed.
- Establish relationships with vendors to finalize transactions and generate additional business.
- Execute lenders closing instructions.
- Prepare escrow disbursements.
- Review HUD-1 Settlement Statements to ensure accuracy.
- Close real estate transactions.
- Assist with completion of title policies.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail.
- Must have strong PC skills with an intermediate proficiency with Word and Excel.
- Prior experience with RamQuest preferable.
- Experience with title commitment and policy preparation, including requirements and exceptions.
- Experience with all title documents, inclusive of Deed of Trusts, Deeds, Mortgages, Surveys, Trusts, Judgments, Liens and Easements.
- Excellent multi-tasking ability.
- Ability to meet deadlines and complete tasks in a timely fashion.
